lavender1702: I recently started following All About Ami here on Tumblr and Stephanie inspired me to start making amigurumi too! I had no idea what it was at first, but I read her blog and looked it up. For those who don’t know, amigurumi are stuffed crochet dolls/animals, that would be my explanation. Anyways, I made my very first amigurumi based on Stephanie’s original pattern for a dragon! It’s so cute and I love it! It’s the first time I’ve done this and my smallest hook was a 5mm plus I didn’t have a yarn needle, so it’s far from perfect. I also have to make add in his tummy. But I’m still very proud of this. I will definitely be making more! (I went out and bought what I need, so it should get better!) My twin sister called “dibs” on this one and she helped me with all the felt parts, so now she can proudly say “I got my sister’s first Ami!” I started knitting and crochet-ing when I was little but I stopped doing it as often when I started getting busy with schoolwork. It has become a summer break thing. I used to only make scarfs and gloves, but now I also make these adorable dolls!
